Dress for fall, when it’s 75 out!
Even though it’s fall on the calendar, in Texas it’s still way to warm for most of the fall fashion trends we are seeing in the stores and on Pinterest. Myself, being from Arizona, Texas is actually cooler weather than I’m used to! I love a warm winter, but also love to visit colder climates where you can really break out the stylish, warm layers!
You can, however, easily get fall feelings from your outfits though! Scroll down to read our tips for incorporating the current fall fashion trends into your everyday outfits.
Dress for Fall
Add Fall Accessories
I always say the accessories make the outfit! Adding cold weather pieces to your outfit such as, ankle boots, felt hats, and leather bags will work to your advantage. You can also add a simple light scarf to a sleeveless dress or feather weight t-shirt for a fall feeling layer. Then, tie it around your bag if the sun is screaming at you that day!
Fabric and Color Palette
Color is the easiest way to tie in fall trends into your seasonal wardrobe. Think rich shades of burgundy, rust, and amber. Navy is also a favorite transitional color of mine! You can pair it with winter whites for a clean feel, or also with grey, camel and black for a luxurious look. Stick to a summer silhouette, but with darker colors and light weight fabrics. The sheer blouse I’m wearing (here) is from H & M. This blouse is light enough to wear under my grey dress, also from H & M, and still be comfortable!
Show Some Skin
Leaving your skin showing is a must in warm weather! I love to wear a cold shoulder top or cropped, destroyed denim on warm days. Pair your favorite sleeveless short dresses with over-the-knee boots. Also a suede mini-skirt with booties and a sleeveless, light-weight, turtleneck will keep you cool by fall like! You can also layer a blazer over shorts and heels for date-night. The sleeveless, dress I have on above, (here) has side slits that are fairly high to help let air in. I love the cut and fabric and It’s only $24.99! #score I’ll add over the knee boots to transition this dress into cooler weather someday!!
