Thanksgiving Style

Thanksgiving dinner will be upon us before we know it! Consequently, I’m already dreaming of turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy and pumpkin pie! After you go through all of the holiday travel, including dreaded crowded airports, the next thing on your mind is what am I going to wear? We have some simple shopable outfit ideas to inspire you below. Whether a Friendsgiving, family reunion, or dinner out, we have you covered!

Friendsgiving

Lisa and I will be spending our 2nd Friendsgiving together with our families. This is always a special time of year, but this year more than others, because she is moving to Tampa, FL soon with her family. Lisa and her family are like a second family to myself and my family, so we are trying to enjoy every moment we still have together!

A Friendsgiving outfit should be cozy and casual, but still look put together. If denim is your comfort go-to for Turkey Day, pair it with an elevated, but not fussy top and chunky heeled mule.

Another stylish option for your low-key meal would be sweater with a special element like lace peeking out with an updated flared crop pant. Polish off the look with cute backless loafers, and some trendy earrings.

Family Reunion

If your holiday is a more elegant get-together, with family you have not seen in forever, stick to a classic look. Dress to impress, using solids and neutrals with simple silhouettes. This will give you a timeless look. Try a classic velvet swing dress  paired with a trendy printed bootie.

If you’re not in the mood for a dress, try a pair of high-waisted tailored pants with a shimmery knit tucked in. Finish off with velvet heel and a beautiful piece of jewelry. Trade out the chunky knit for bow blouse (See our post here) for warm weather climates.

Eating Out

If you and yours want to skip the shopping, cooking, and cleaning, have a special dinner out! For a dressed up option, wear a black and navy sequined dress, adding black  tights and a classic stiletto.

Another option, if you want to keep it simple, is tailored black pants with a silk button down. Adding a bag and heel in a burgundy velvet and a neck kerchief to complete your outfit!

In my outfit above, I loved this classic, black turtleneck the minute I saw it! The lace peeking out of the bottom and sleeves gives it such an elegant look. I paired it with some Rag and Bone cropped, flare jeans.  They have a unraveled hem which is a favorite hem of mine! The structure bag and simple stiletto keep with the classic look that I gravitate towards!

We hope everyone has a safe and drama-free Thanksgiving dinner! Lisa and I are looking forward to ours!
